NIAGARA FALLS -- The Stolen and 2016 "The Voice" contestant Mike Shiavo will headline a July 10 show at the Evening Star Concert Hall.
The Stolen, a pop/rock band from Old Bridge, NJ, consists of of Dom Cuce on vocals, Rob Chiarappa on guitar and vocals, Kevin Smart on bass, and Mike Chiarappa on drums. The quartet formed in 2005 as neighborhood friends who began performing their favorite covers at shows and built quite a following from taking top hits and adding their own melodic twist.
They began writing and performing their own material in 2009, developing a devout following by touring the U.S. and Canada, opening for heavy-hitters Neon Trees and All American Rejects.
Their debut EP, "Adults," combined the band’s undeniable catchy hooks with sincere lyrics, unforgettable choruses, and singing guitar solos to define their unique sound. While the EP tells a heartfelt story of growing up, the music varies from lighthearted tracks like "Motion Sickness" to darker emo jams like "Getting New at Growing Old" finding that perfect blend that Alternative music has been waiting for.
Following Adults, the band released “Chardonnay” an emotionally right tune released in 2015, produced by Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, The Dangerous Summer). The current tour promotes their latest offering, "I’m So Dead," co-produced by guitarist Rob Chiarappa and Mike Oettinger (Man Overboard, Transit) and mastered by Grammy-nominated German Mastering engineer Robin Schmidt (The 1975, The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons).

If you’ve never heard of local rapper Musmah, you’re not alone. The Nigerian rapper is fairly new to the local music scene having only been living in the U.S. for three short years. However, the young talent is well-known in his home country as his new single Designer has hit No. 27 on the charts.
The song, while talking about living a life of luxury (which a lot of rap songs do) separates itself with a catchy, jazz-like vibe. The instrumental background offers a calm, relaxing sound while Musmah shows his ability to rap in a fluent, flowing fashion. Emulating the sounds of Future throughout the hook of the song, the single shows that, if exposed, it has the potential to be something we could hear on the radio right now.
With the rap game growing and continuing to flourish, Musmah is an artist that you should look out for not only on the the future. If local scene, but potentially bigger stages in you are a rap fan and get the opportunity to see him perform live, do not pass it up. Musmah is expected to release his second EP sometime in September.

As the rest of the FTMP crew has been saying behind the scenes, this is your "one chance each year to see your favorite local promoter get trashed with his friends at a show." Tickets are $7 presale, or $10 at the door. Hope to celebrate with you.

BUFFALO -- For more than two decades, Lettuce have brought a new vitality to classic funk, matching their smooth and soulful grooves with a hip-hop-inspired urgency and mastery of beat. Now, on their fourth studio album "Crush," drummer Adam Deitch, guitarists Adam Smirnoff and Eric Krasno, bassist Erick “Jesus” Coomes, keyboardist Neal Evans, saxophonist Ryan Zoidis, and trumpet player Eric Bloom deepen that sound by channeling the sonic freedom and infectious energy of their incendiary live show.
The follow-up to 2012’s "Fly," "Crush" finds Lettuce brilliantly infusing their psychedelic and hip-hop sensibilities into bass-heavy funk. With its spidery guitar work and hypnotic beats, “Phyllis” is a delicately sprawling epic that embodies what Deitch refers to as “a chill-hop vibe that’s kind of the flip-side of all that powerful uptempo funk that people might expect from us.” On “Get Greasy,” Lettuce give a nod to the groove-fueled EDM subgenre known as future funk, building off its highly danceable rhythm with a blissfully loose and horn-laced arrangement. And on “He Made a Woman Out of Me,” guest vocalist Alecia Chakour lends her bluesy growl to a scorching take on Bobbie Gentry’s 1970 country-soul classic.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 716-852 -2860.
